1. Match the file to your paper
Choose the A4 PDF for A4 paper (210 × 297 mm), or the US Letter PDF for Letter paper (8.5 × 11 inches). Select the same paper size in your printer settings. A mismatch can shrink the page or clip the edges.
2. Print from the downloaded PDF
Download the finished file and open it in a PDF reader. Print the PDF itself rather than a screenshot or the browser preview of your book. Check the print preview to make sure you have selected the correct pages.
3. Check scale and orientation
Start with portrait orientation and Actual size or 100% scale. Check your printer’s printable margins. If the preview clips any content, use Fit to printable area and check the result on one test page; this may make the artwork slightly smaller.
Printer settings vary. Avoid assuming borderless printing is available on every printer.
4. Inspect one test page
- Are the outer lines and caption inside the printable area?
- Are thin lines visible and large areas mostly white?
- Is the page comfortable to color at this size?
- Does the paper suit the pencils or markers you want to use?
For paper thickness and supported media, follow your printer’s manual. Try markers on a spare sheet first and place another sheet underneath if needed.
5. Print the pages you want
After checking the test page, choose the remaining page range. Single-sided printing can be convenient for coloring. If you choose double-sided printing, test the orientation and show-through before running the whole file.
If something looks wrong
If lines are clipped, recheck paper size and scaling. If they are faint, check the PDF at full size and your printer quality settings. If the source page itself has distorted features or too many fine lines, revisit the preview rather than expecting printer settings to fix it.
